Opponent Ryan Couture, son of MMA royalty Randy Couture, weighed in on point at 155.5 lbs but the Bellator 143 bout was scrapped due to the shambolic showing from Gonzalez.

But The Ghost may need to rethink his weight cutting methods as he fainted while trying to make weight the last time around too, in a bout against Warren Stewart last September.
This is the fourth consecutive Gonzalez fight that has been cancelled before coming to fruition which means he hasn't actually fought in two years and that spell on the sidelines looks like continuing as there won't be many promoters lining up to secure the signature of a fighter who seemingly can't make weight.
