Max Holloway was not going to just travel to Ireland without inserting his name in headlines with Conor McGregor.
Rumours did the rounds this weekend that the UFC featherweight champion had arrived in Dublin and while all the talk in recent days has suggested that Donald Cerrone would be next up for 'The Notorious', Holloway has put himself right back in the conversation with a clever dig at McGregor's whiskey brand.
Much of McGregor's social media output in the past few months has been a consistent advertising campaign for Proper 12, his new business venture.
It's clear that the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion is very proud of the whiskey and Holloway, whose 2013 defeat to McGregor was his last in the Octagon, knew exactly how to try to get under McGregor's skin when the Hawaiian travelled to the Irish capital this weekend.
Holloway treated himself to a tour of the Jameson Distillery on Bow Street on Saturday and his review of his visit was a clear dig aimed at 'The Notorious'.
"238 years of innovation, hard work, and unmatched quality. Not a watered down trend," Holloway wrote on Twitter.

Holloway vs. McGregor II would represent one of the most exciting rematches in UFC history, although it is unlikely that the Irishman would return to 145lbs for the second clash.
After Holloway earned his 13th consecutive win with his December victory over Brian Ortega, McGregor suggested that he remained the greatest featherweight fighter in UFC history.
