There must be an Owen Roddy doppelganger at the Barclays Center causing havoc.
If you watched the clips of the UFC 223 bus incident and saw Owen Roddy, your eyes were deceiving you.
Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager Ali Abdel-Aziz was on the bus that got attacked. In the first clips that went around from inside the vehicle, you could hear him shouting. On Monday's
MMA Hour, he gave his account of the attack, but one thing had host Ariel Helwani raising his eyebrow.
"We see boom boom boom boom and we see his little coach. His coach what's his name? That's the first guy I saw. What's his name? Kickboxing coach. Striking coach."
Helwani responded, "Not Owen Roddy. No, he wasn't there. No way."

Owen Fraudy
Roddy was among those who were denied access to the Barclays Center for UFC 223. His inclusion, along with SBG head coach John Kavanagh, had people scratching their heads considering neither were actually involved in the incident. Kavanagh was 7,000 km away in Budapest prepping Brian Moore and Ion Pascu for their respective fights at Bellator 196.
However, Abdel-Aziz was certain,
"Owen Roddy. 100% he was there. Owen Roddy was there."
Helwani remained sceptical and suggested that it may have been someone who looked like Owen Roddy, but Abdel-Aziz was having none of it.
"I'm telling you, Owen Roddy was there. He was there. He was the first guy from the right side of the bus. That's who I saw first. That's how I knew it was Conor."
Unsurprisingly, Helwani's instincts were correct. He has since confirmed that Roddy wasn't at the Barclays Center for media day. He wasn't even in Brooklyn when that went down.

Some chap must be jacking Roddy's swag. From this day forth, we shall refer to this unknown character as Owen Fraudy.
