The Finnish featherweight (12-2, 2-0 UFC) has been pegged as one of the UFC's next big stars since he knocked out Andy Ogle with flying knee and punches just eight seconds into his promotional debut.
Outside of the cage, Amirkhani has garnered a strong following due to his superstar personality and his story of growing up in poverty, being raised by his Mom in Finland, before making it on MMA's biggest stage.
He famously dedicated his last win inside the Octagon over Masio Fullen to his mother vowing to buy her a "$10,000 bed that flies" with the bonus money he won from the fight, due to the
sacrifices she made for her children when they were growing up.
Amirkhani broke the news on Twitter that he had split from the Allstars Gym in Stockholm, home of Alexander Gustafsson, and that he is looking for a new gym.

John Kavanagh got wind of the news and told the Fin that he was welcome to join the Dublin gym. The subsequent back and forth between Kavanagh and Amirkhani suggests that this might actually happen.
