UFC 197 salaries revealed and Jon Jones earned a whole lot more than everyone else

Demetrious Johnson would want to renegotiate his contract pretty soon.

The salaries for UFC 197 have been confirmed and Jon Jones was, by far and away, the biggest earner. 'Bones' was paid a straight up $500,000 for his fight against Ovince St. Preux. Jones took the victory by unanimous decision but was not signed on for any win bonus. The defeated St. Preux earned $55,000 for his five rounds of hard yakka. That's a good chunk of change but it is worth noting that Conor McGregor pocketed $1m for his UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz. Shockingly, for us anyway, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson's salary was a paltry $135,000. He got an extra $60,000 for once again defending his belt in style.
