Ireland will be getting at least one UFC Gym.
Soon when someone asks the obnoxiously ignorant question, 'Do you train UFC?' some Irish people will be able to respond with a straight face, 'Kinda'.
At a press conference in London on Thursday, it was announced that over 100 UFC Gyms will be opening in Ireland and the UK over 10 years. This comes after the signing of a decade-long partnership with TD Lifestyle, which will operate the sites.
Former UFC middleweight king Michael Bisping was among the members on the panel making the announcement. 'The Count' informed the press in attendance of some of the classes that will be available to members of the new UFC Gyms. Kickboxing classes, cardio kickboxing classes, boxing classes, jiu-jitsu, MMA and traditional fitness classes such as Daily Ultimate Traning, yoga, spinning, TRX , Zumba and Pilates.
Since launching in 2009, UFC Gym has opened more than 150 locations throughout the US, Australia, the Middle East and Asia.
