Video: Jose Aldo had some pretty complimentary things to say about the Irish public

 Jose Aldo is a fan of the Irish people, just not the Irish weather.

The undisputed UFC featherweight kingpin is back in Brazil after the grueling UFC 189 world tour. The eight city media tour finished up in Dublin on Tuesday where Aldo was met with widespread vitriol from the Conor McGregor fans at the Q&A in the Convention Centre. However, despite being verbally abused by Irish fight fans, he revealed he holds no ill will towards the Irish. In fact, he even admitted being a bit of a fan of their friendliness.

"About the fans? I already knew they would support him (McGregor), like the fans were on my side in Brazil, but I walked in the streets and spoke with normal people and thought they were very warm and receptive. I was happy about it - not his fans, obviously."

He added that McGregor was given the same harsh treatment on the first leg of the tour in Brazil and that he didn't expect any respect from McGregor fans, even if he is a storied champion.

"There's no such thing about being the champion with a fan. I was in his country and we knew they would support him. I'm cool about that. I believe my fans recognise my work and respect me."

There was one aspect of Ireland that Aldo was not happy with though.

"Ireland was really cold and windy, so that was bad."
