Seven WRC drives to look forward to for Breen
Some great news for Irish rally fans and for fans of Craig Breen in particular as it has now been confirmed that the 24-year-old will continue to drive for Peugeot next season.
Breen will drive a factory 208 T16 car in the European Rally Championship and he will also get to drive in seven World Rally Championship events, the top rung of the rallying calendar.
Breen finished third in the ERC last year, a season that included a win in the Acropolis rally followed by a whole host of reliability issues.
He told
Autosport:
"I'm delighted to be continuing with Peugeot Sport in 2015 when our priority will be the ERC title.
"This year wasn't easy. We were down on luck and it was the 208 T16's debut season, but now all the ingredients are in place.
"The car combines speed and reliability and I know the team well, since this will be my third year as part of the official line-up.
"It's going to be an exciting but busy year because my programme also includes, with Peugeot Sport support, seven WRC-2 outings in the 208 T16 with the same team."
His first drive of the new year will be in the Jännerrallye in Austria which starts on January 4.
