Looks like Munster and Leinster are going head-to-head for yet another honour

These rivals are at it again.

If someone said to you at the beginning of the season that Munster and Leinster would be in the Champions Cup semi-finals and that both sides look likely to contest for the PRO 12 title, then you would probably direct them to get their head examined. But rugby is a funny game. The landscape of the sport can change so quickly. Just last year, Irish supporters were bemoaning the perceived dominance of the English and French clubs. But Munster and Leinster have both beaten sides from the Aviva Premiership and the Top 14 to find themselves in the last four of European rugby's premier club competition. The possibility of an All-Ireland PRO 12 and Champions Cup final is no longer a pipe dream. It's incredibly difficult to predict which of these two provinces will come out on top when it comes to securing silverware. Taking a look at the latest statistics from the PRO 12, it looks like these rivals are both closing in on another honour. With just four domestic fixtures remaining, Tyler Bleyendaal leads the way in the Guinness Pro12 Rhino Golden boot award with a success rate of 88%. Ospreys' Sam Davies is in second with 87% and Leinster Isa Nacewa is in third on 85%. Previous winners include JJ Hanrahan, Jonathan Sexton and Bristol bound Ian Madigan. It may not be the most important of achievements to secure this season but when it comes to the rivalry between the two provinces, we're sure it will be used at some stage during an argument!
