Former Ireland prop Mike Ross has been confirmed as the new scrum coach for the Ireland women's rugby team as they continue preparations for the upcoming Six Nations campaign.
The 38-year-old Cork native established himself as a player with considerable expertise in the scrum during a career that yielded two Six Nations titles with Ireland as well as two Heineken Cups, a Challenge Cup and two PRO12 titles with Leinster.
With 61 international caps as a tighthead prop, Ross will bring a wealth of experience to the coaching ticket.

Former Leinster U18 Schools Head Coach Jeff Carter has also been added to the coaching ticket alongside Head Coach Adam Griggs.
Women's Six Nations Director of Women's Rugby Anthony Eddy said:
"We are delighted to have Jeff and Mike join the coaching team with Adam for the up and coming Women's Six Nations.
"Jeff has 20 years of coaching experience at different levels behind him which is invaluable and he will certainly add to the program.
"Mike is a great addition to the coaching team. Having played at the top level of the game for province and country, his technical expertise of the scrum is second to none and he will be an excellent mentor for the players.”
Ireland begin their Women’s Six Nations campaign away to France on February 3rd.
