Paddy Jackson may be set for his first game back in Ireland after London Irish confirmed that they would play Munster in a pre-season friendly.
Jackson signed for London Irish from Perpignan over the summer as he gets set to join former Ulster coach Les Kiss and former Ireland coach Declan Kidney at the club.
His arrival was met with raised eyebrows from sponsors with both Cash Converters and long serving sponsors Diageo both terminating their partnerships with the Premiership club following his signing.
The former Ulster fly-half last played in Ireland during the 2016/17 season and was in line to play against Connacht last season during Perpignan's Challenge Cup visit but was ultimately left out of the matchday squad for the contest.
He now gets the opportunity to return and play in Ireland with London Irish set to play Munster at Irish Independent Park, Cork in their only pre-season fixture ahead of the start of the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership campaign.
The Exiles will take on the Pro 14 side on Friday 13 September (kick-off 7.30pm). The teams will compete for the Jack Wakefield Memorial Trophy, which is contested on each occasion that London Irish play an Irish province in a pre-season match. The trophy is named in honour of a young London Irish supporter who passed away in 2005.
