720 minutes of football left but how many will El Tigre get?
Radamel Falcao has told a radio station in his native country of Colombia that his future may lie away from Manchester United.
The former Atletico Madrid and Monaco striker has struggled during his first spell in the Premier League. He has scored four goals in the league but Louis van Gaal remains unconvinced.
He has sat out a number of key ties recently, including Arsenal in the FA Cup and the impressive league win over Spurs. He came off the bench for the final 10 minutes of United's 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield.
Falcao told Radio Caracol, 'When the championship finishes, of course I will sit down, analyse things and decide what is best for me. I need to find a place where I have continuity and where I can play. I am totally focused on the club. There are eight games left and anything can happen.'
After insisting he has no problem with Van Gaal, Falcao added, 'People speculate, but I am good and feeling calm. I just need to play. I can't let myself get worried, I need to be prepared to take the opportunity when it comes.
'I am happy at the club and with how the fans and my team-mates have treated me. I will keep fighting until the end at Manchester United.'
Such is the lack of game-time Falcao has had in recent weeks that he turned out for the United Under-21s. Van Gaal insisted the demotion had nothing to do with trying to humiliate the Colombian, who missed the 2014 World Cup after incurring a bad knee injury last year.
