Ladbrokes must be hoping another player emerges in the coming weeks to pip Hogg to the try-scoring summit. Ladbrokes' Hayley O'Connor told The Hard Yards:
"We were kind of caught out by that. We put [the pre-tournament on Hogg] down to some patriotic punters up in Scotland. "He is going to be a shocking loser for us if he does finish as the tournament's top try-scorer. 40/1 he was backed at, right into favourite now after his double on Saturday."Up next for Hogg and the Scots is a not so handy away date with France in Paris. It won't be easy but Hogg does have a good record against Les Bleus - three tries in four previous games. That original 40/1 bet must be looking pretty sweet for those that backed the flying Scotsman.
