There will be no return trip to the RDS for former Leinster fly-half Jimmy Gopperth.
The Wasps 10's appeal against a three-week ban for striking Leicester's Mathew Tait was rejected on Thursday night, meaning the New Zealander will miss the English club's Champions Cup opener against three-time Heineken Cup champions Leinster.

Gopperth was yellow carded after a mid-air collision with Tait in their Premiership clash on Sunday and at a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday he was given a three-week ban for striking.
Having admitted the offence Gopperth subsequently appealed the sanction but he will now miss the chance to face his old team-mates.
The 32 year old made 59 appearances for Leinster between 2013 and last May. Wasps and Leinster are joined in a devilishly difficult Pool 5 by Bath and defending champions Toulon.
