Is there anything to be said for a cup of tea on a God-forsaken night like that?
Connacht and Edinburgh played out the most dogfight of dogfights in the Galway cold, wind and rain... and wind. And, as you can imagine, it wasn't for the faint-hearted.
The home side fell at the wrong side of a tight 16-13 result as both sides really struggled to get any fluidity going in trying conditions.
Whilst a try from David Denton and 11 points from Hidalgo-Clyne led the way for the Scottish side, Connacht were awarded a penalty try at the end of the first half but it proved to be a frustrating night for the west coast men.
