Australia were almost made to regret the amount of scoring chances they left on the park in the first half of their Bledisloe Cup clash with New Zealand. In the final quarter of their Rugby Championship clash, the All Blacks led 19-17 but Nic White stepped forward when his side needed a hero. His 10-point haul in the closing stages means the Wallabies are in prime position to win the 2015 Bledisloe Cup. As for championship, it's in the bag. After a scrappy first half, which left the ABs leading 6-3, Australia hit the front when Sekope Kepu scored a try. The visitors hit back, however, when Dan Carter and Conrad Smith combined to tee up debutant winger Nehe Milner-Skudder to score. Australia answered back when Matt Toouma teed up Adam Ashley-Cooper for a superb score in the right-hand corner. Matt Giteau, making his first start for Australia since 2010, nailed a touchline conversion and his side led 17-14. Hurricanes tyro Milner-Skudder was not finished yet. He dived over in the corner and fought off three Australians to touch down on the whitewash. Michael Cheika emptied his Wallabies bench and the home sides piled into their guests. The pressure told as Australia forced a penalty. Nic White stepped up and slotted over from 47 metres. The home side were buoyed by hitting the front and a turnover on Milner-Skudder cause chaos. Aaron Smith tried to cover but spilled the ball, Scott Fardy and Michael Hooper kept it alive and White did the rest - sniping up the middle to seal the victory. Australia will be ones to watch at the World Cup.
