Last week in Paris, he contributed handsomely to Ireland's narrow victory, with some trademark carries, while he also won some invaluable penalties.
Nicknamed the jukebox, because the hits keep coming from the 25-year-old, Furlong has quickly established himself as a fan favourite amongst Irish rugby folk. His wholehearted, committed style endears him to Irish eyes.
And those Irish eyes were fearing the worst, but hoping for the best after 180 seconds on Saturday.
