When it rains, it pours.
Another day, another deficit for Aston Villa to chase.
Remi Garde's impressively diabolical bottom-of-the-table outfit travelled to Newcastle for the Saturday evening game and, as customary, they gifted the opposition another lead.
But it seems that more storm clouds have been hovering over the north east of England than have been over Villa's season and, with the rain playing havoc on the St. James' Park pitch, it became more and more difficult for both outfits to handle the surface.

So, 1-0 down, facing another depressing trip home, seemingly no way back, fans clutched at straws.
