David Ginola rumoured to be running for FIFA presidency against Sepp Blatter

Spurs legend, David Ginola, is said to be in the running for FIFA presidency. The Frenchman is believed to have launched a campaign, backed by none other than Irish bookmaker Paddy Power, to replace Sepp Blatter in football's hot seat. Associated Press journalist, Rob Harris, has tonight reported that the winger, who spent over seven years in the Premier League, has until January 29 to prove to FIFA that he has played an active role in football for two of the last five years, while showing he has the support of five national associations. The election for the presidency will take place on May 29 at FIFA's congress in Zurich and rumours of Ginola's interest in the role is beginning to snowball. Sky Sports News are running with the story this evening and immediately took to Twitter to confirm their suspicions.
