They then failed to overcome Gent's 1-0 lead from the first leg in the Europa League, and the second-leg finished 2-2 at Wembley.
This has led to some arguing that Wembley is a hindrance to the North London club.
Compared to their record at White Hart Lane, where they have won their last 10 games, Spurs' stay at Wembley, so far, definitely hasn't gone to plan.
When it was announced that they would be playing 27 games at the stadium in the near future, many on social media joked that this could only mean one thing - Spurs will be relegated, because they've perform so poorly at Wembley.
It won't happen, as Mauricio Pochettino's team are one of the best in England, but that still didn't stop many making the same joke.
