Heroic Europa League swansong not enough to earn Kolo Toure a new contract at Liverpool

A fan favourite among the Anfield faithful but Kolo Toure is facing his final day as a Liverpool player.

It's understood that the club has decided not to renew Toure's contract, meaning he will be free to move on to another side in the summer. Toure made 71 appearances for Liverpool since signing from Manchester City in 2013 and although he may be past his prime, Reds fans grew to love him. Monaco are believed to be interested in offering the 35-year-old a contract when his free agent status is confirmed and, with last-ditch tackles like this one still in him, it's easy to see why.
