This probably isn't what he expected to happen
Ryan Mason made his debut for England during Tuesday's 1-1 draw in Turin against Italy.
Not bad going for a 23-year-old who couldn't get into the Tottenham team at the start of the season and has spent most of the past six years on loan at clubs like Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Leyton Orient and Swindon Town.
But what came apparent in Turin, after his team-mate Andros Townsend equalised Italy's opener, was that among the now obligatory sleeve of tattoos was a somewhat strange looking inked face.

No doubt the tattoo is of someone near and dear to Mason, though the people on Twitter weren't letting it go ...
