According to reports in Spain, United have already agreed a deal with La Liga side Villareal for versatile defender Eric Bailly.
AS claims that the Red Devils are set to pay around €40 million for the 22-year-old Ivory Coast international who Mourinho has identified as a key cog in his team for next season.
Bailly, a defender who can play across the back four, signed for Villareal last January and has impressed particularly over the past season and had drawn interest from Spanish champions Barcelona but it's understood that the negotiations to bring him to Manchester are all but complete.
