Touchy Jose Mourinho kicks narcissism into overdrive during Chelsea press conference

Jose Mourinho wasn't in the best form at Chelsea's Champions League press conference on Tuesday.

Bans, fines and his side's dismal form this season has left The Special One with his back firmly against the wall at Stamford Bridge. With reports circulating that he has just a couple of games left to save his job, Mourinho was never going to be the happiest individual at the press conference ahead of their Dynamo Kiev clash. When asked if he had met with Roman Abramovich, he gave a short response.

“I don’t have to answer if I was with the owner or not.”

He was also pretty short when quizzed over how long he thinks he has left at the club.

“Four years. In this care, three years and seven months.”

Mourinho did address the hot topic of the rumoured players revolt at Chelsea. News broke at the weekend of a supposed mutiny in the squad, which The Secret Footballer claimed Cesc Fabregas spearheaded. Fabregas has since denied he masterminded the revolt.

"If I accuse you of being a dishonest journalist, I think you’d be very upset and probably you’d take legal action. Look ,I think it’s a very sad accusation, because you are accusing a player or more than one player of dishonesty” "The players are giving their best every minute of every training session, giving solidarity between all of us. [The problems are a] combination of factors and some of them I can’t, I don’t want, to touch them.”

The highlight of the presser may have been the moment when the Special One transformed into a parody of himself and came out with one of his most narcissistic quotes yet.

“When you reach my level it’s difficult to learn from others, you have to learn from yourself. I learn day by day.”
