Manchester United's seemingly pie-in-the-sky pursuit of Gareth Bale may be a lot closer to reality that many have thought after the Welsh attacker hinted he is ready to leave the Bernabeu. The 25-year-old seemed to have won over fans in the Spanish capital after his pivotal role in last year's La Decima Champions League success, but has been on the receiving end of some stiff criticism from Los Blancos' supporters as his performances have dipped this season.
Bale wants to give it another go next season to try and win back the crowds, but the €94million man would be willing to come back to England, and presumably United, if the price is right, with a swap deal including Madrid target David de Gea likely to reduce the fee substantially (Daily Mail)
Manchester United are also leading the race to sign Burnley striker Danny Ings, according to the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old sharp-shooter's contract runs out at the end of the season and he has been on the radar of many Premier League outfits including Tottenham and Newcastle. He was also heavily linked with teaming up with David Moyes at Real Sociedad in La Liga. However, it is now understood that Ings will opt for Louis van Gaal's United and snub the other offers.
The English forward could provide the Red Devils with a cheap option up front as ludicrously expensive loan striker Radamel Falcao looks almost certain to head back to AS Monaco.
Douglas Costa looks like he's on his way to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea look to rebuild their team following their Champions League exit. The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with an £18m transfer to the Premier League leaders at the end of the season as he looks to join up with former former Shakhtar teammate Willian and compete for trophies with the Blues.
