Transfers: Victor Valdes set for Turkish switch but what does it mean for David de Gea?

If one were to believe reports in the Spanish newspapers, and radio stations, David de Gea is off to Real Madrid for €40m. Well now, it seems, Manchester United are about to lose another goalkeeper. Not content with snapping up Samuel Eto'o, Antalyaspor are on the verge of bringing the former Barcelona goalkeeper to Turkey. The club's press officer told Eurosport, 'We are in talks with Victor Valdes. Once an agreement is reached we will be able to sign yet another world star to Antalyaspor. United have been linked with goalkeeping replacements, such as Fernando Muslera, Jasper Cilissen and Hugo Lloris, but perhaps allowing Valdes to leave is a sign that de Gea is not going anywhere. As a La Liga and Champions League winner, Valdes may not be content with backing up his Spainish international teammate for another season. One player definitely on the move is former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson. The England right-back will join The Potters on a free transfer, with the move confirmed by Mark Hughes on Sky Sports News this morning. The Stoke boss also revealed that goalkeeper Asmir Begovic was off to London this weekend to tie up his switch to Chelsea. Personal terms have been agreed between Fabien Delph and Manchester City. SSN report that the Aston Villa midfielder will join Manuel Pellegrini's side if he passes a medical at the club this weekend. Following the arrival of Petr Cech to Arsenal, goalkeeper David Ospina is looking about for a new club. Ospina had a superb Copa America, for Colombia, but is likely to start 2015/16 behind Cech. Daily Express believe he may be off to Everton. For his part, Ospina says there is 'a great possibility' of joining 'a very competitive team' like the Toffees. And it would not be a transfer round-up with Raheem Sterling and talk of him. The PFA has offered to intermediate between Sterling and the club. This may help massively as, according to The Mirror, Sterling faces being dumped to train with the reserves if he refuses to travel on a pre-season tour. The newspaper also report that Norwich City have upped their bid for Irish midfielder Robbie Brady to £6m but have been, once again, rebuffed.
