Sport, Valdes and City have engaged in informal talks with the former Barcelona goalkeeper reported to have met with club chief Txiki Begiristain.
The interest would suggest that Pep Guardiola is working two jobs at once. The Bayern Munich manager is set to take over at the Etihad in the summer and is apparently ready to hand his old number one a two-year deal to join him.
