Sligo Rovers picked a strange moment to reveal that their head coach, Owen Heary, was leaving the club.
Bit O' Red released a statement, last night, announcing that Heary had stepped down from the struggling SSE Airtricity League side.
The only problems were - Heary was on Setanta TV providing analysis of St Pats' league clash with Longford Town
and, according to the former Bohemians player, he had not stepped down.
A tangled web began to be constructed back on June 6 when Heary was told, by the club, that he would not be needed as coach any more. That decision was reversed the next day.
Heary admitted, last night, that he was still 'in limbo' about his future. He said he planned to go along to support the players in their league clash against Bray.
15 minutes later and Sligo released a statement saying Heary - seemingly with his input on the matter - was done with the club.

Something similar happened to then Brighton boss Guy Poyet in 2013.
He found out he had gotten the chop while on-air with the BBC.
