Liverpool really should be two to the good at the break.
Mere minutes after Daniel Sturridge had given the Reds the advantage from the penalty spot, Philippe Coutinho had what can only be described as a gilt edge chance to double their lead.
A ball flashed across the Manchester United box landed at the feet of the Brazilian but Coutinho definitely made the wrong decision.
Rather than simply swing his left peg at it, Coutinho tried to be clever and poke it home with the outside of his right foot.
That gave David de Gea ample time to scramble back to his line and prevent the home side from stretching their advantage.
And Reds fans could not bloody believe it.
