First things first, Dublin are seriously impressive. The ease with which they can score, the ferocious manner with which their defenders go about their business, that bench. Mother of god, that bench.
They stuck a stake through the hearts of
their greatest rivals on Sunday to set up a final date with Mayo. The Dubs were very impressive but they were hardly flawless - Stephen Cluxton showed once more that he can be rattled, the Kerry midfield had a good day and, well, they were pretty good.
But you would be a fool to think September 18th is sure to be a cakewalk for the defending champions, who will face Mayo in the final. This is the Mayo side who put them to the pin of their collar and a replay in last year's semi-final, the Mayo side who are contesting their third All-Ireland final in five years, the Mayo side packed with seasoned campaigners who are close to possessed by winning Sam Maguire.
But some people are already handing the famous pot back to Dublin following Sunday's win over Kerry.
The Sunday Game don't think Mayo's best thus far would be good enough. But they
didn't nominate Dean Rock for Man of the Match, so they can't be trusted.
