only personnel change was Jamesie O'Connor in for Kilkenny's Eddie Brennan.
The famous commentator brought
Jackie Tyrrell in for Diarmuid O'Sullivan and Seán Óg in for Brian Whelehan in the backs, Michael Fennelly in for Ciaran Carey at midfield, and Tommy Dunne in for Ben O'Connor in the forwards.
There were a few notable exclusions.
Brendan Cummins, Davy Fitzgerald and Damien Fitzhenry can all feel hard-done-by in the goals.
Tipperary behemoth Paudie Maher has been the most consistent defender in the last ten years of hurling. He may have deserved a nod.
Tony Browne can't have been far off.
John Mullane, Richie Power, Richie Hogan and Lar Corbett might feel aggrieved.
