How is this game even going ahead?
Éir Sport should be lauded for their initiative to televise club games across Ireland over the winter months. Last week, they were in Donegal, this week, in Limerick at the county's senior hurling quarter finals.
The first game between Patrickswell and Ballybrown was tit-for-tat thriller, and will go to a replay next weekend, the second clash, between Doon and Adare was a bit of a farce, and we hope it doesn't put Éir Sport off covering any more club games.
It was nothing to do with a bad refereeing decision, a shameless belt, it was down to the fact that both teams wore jerseys that were so indistinguishable from one another, that players should be excused for giving inch-perfect passes to opponents.
Doon are the team in red and white, and Adare wear red and black, but their jerseys were so similar that the referee must be struggling trying to officiate that game.

Would it be that hard for both teams to agree on wearing a changed strip? Does it take that much to communicate with each other before the game?
Now, we've all seen some disgraceful colour clashes in the past, but this one, this surely tops the lot.
Hurling is a game defined by split-second decisions, peripheral vision and instant reactions, how the hell could the players display any of them qualities when it looked like they had 28 teammates on the field of play?

In a situation like this, a referee should surely have the power to order the teams to change jerseys, or to even call off the game, because it's a joke on the players themselves, and those trying to watch it both on television and from the stands.

You'd have to question both teams, you'd have to question the referee, you'd have to question everything, but don't be questioning your own eyesight.
Though indistinguishable, Doon were much the better team and lead on a scoreline of 2-13 to 0-7 with ten minutes left to play.
