Tipperary hurling manager, Eamon O'Shea, has announced that he will step down from his position, but will give it one more lash before he does.
The county board confirmed that O'Shea, who has been in charge of Tipp since 2012, will remain in place for one further season and that a recommendation for assistant manager Michael Ryan to succeed O'Shea will be discussed at a meeting next week.
Tipp were at the wrong side of another classic All-Ireland final replay last month when Kilkenny edged them out at the second time of asking and, after mulling over his future since, Eamon O'Shea just couldn't leave without one more push.
