Phew, that was close!
Roscommon were pushed right to the limit in their Connacht championship opener with New York in Gaelic Park.
Division 1's Roscommon just about made it across the finish line as they beat the Exiles by the most minor of margins - 1-15 to 0-17 - in a clash that turned out to be all too close for comfort.
Both sides traded points in the dying minutes before a Senan Kilbride point seemed to put breathing space between the teams but those breaths became much more frantic when New York turned it into a one point game once more.
But alas, time ran out and joint Rossies managers Fergal O’Donnell and Kevin McStay were permitted a sigh of relief with the narrowest of victories.
