TJ Reid and Paul Murphy have absolutely no damn need to be this good at pull-ups

Pull-ups are the ultimate test of a man's strength, a man's pound for pound strength.

Your biceps are flexing, your shoulders are under pressure, your triceps (if they're bulging) give you that necessary push, and your chest and core combine to thrust you to your destination. We had a fair idea that the Kilkenny hurlers would be well able to perform the staple gym exercise. In fact, if we were to pick out two of the strongest men in their panel, even before this video, we probably would've gone for army-man Murphy and the insanely ripped TJ Reid. The question was, who is the most powerful of the two powerhouses.   We got our answer right there. The Ballyhale Shamrocks club man Reid gave Murphy a harsh lesson in the pull-up game. Reid's form was near perfect, his composure, his technique and his bulging biceps were a sight to behold during his 17 and a half pull-ups. On the other hand, Murphy while impressing with a grand total of 16, his technique just wasn't as refined as Reid. While Reid resembled a cool cucumber, Murphy was more of an out of control tornado.
