VIDEO: Aaron Kernan’s life in Sunderland begins with a fitness test

We got our first glimpse today at how Aaron Kernan is getting on in Sunderland.

The Crossmaglen man is trying out the life of a professional footballer with the Black Cats as part of a new TV show from AIB called The Toughest Trade. And today we got to see a sneak peek at his fitness test at the Stadium of Light, something that all pro footballers go through ahead of a move to a new club.

We're sure that the 31-year-old surprised some of the coaches on Wearside with his fitness, considering Gaelic football is an non-professional sport (i.e. the players work full-time away from the pitch).
