Wexford have an abundance of youthful players, with key men Conor McDonald, Lee Chin and Liam Ryan all having plenty of years ahead of them, but the likes of Rory O'Connor and the return of Paudie Foley after a summer J1 mean the omens are good.
There was uncertainty regarding the Clare man's intentions, but reports from Jackie Cahill claim that he has agreed to stay on as Wexford senior hurling manager.
