Hip-hop mogul Diddy stated his desire to become the first majority African-American owner in NFL history.

report from Sports Illustrated last week revealed allegations of inappropriate workplace comments and conduct by Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson.
The team responded to the allegations on Sunday by announcing that the 'Carolina Panthers and Mr. Richardson take these allegations very seriously and are fully committed to a full investigation', which was followed by an announcement from Richardson that he would be selling the team at the end of this season.
Diddy immediately put himself in the running to take over as the Panthers owner when he tweeted from his official Twitter account on Sunday that he wants to become the first majority African-American owner in NFL history.

Diddy's net worth is estimated to be $820 million by
Forbes, who valued the Panthers at $2.3 billion in September.
A single incoming owner must still control at least 30% of the equity of the team to satisfy NFL rules meaning that Diddy would have to pay at least $600 million to become the controlling owner.
According to Forbes, the Belk and Levine families own roughly 16% of the team while Steve and Jerry Wordsworth are the biggest minority shareholders of the team with an estimated 16% stake.

Exiled former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick also said he wants to join the ownership group tweeting: "I want in on the ownership group! Let's make it happen!".
Kaepernick's playing days appear to be numbered but maybe a transition into administration and ownership maybe his way back into the league.
