their thrilling victory over the UAE that was filling timelines across the globe.
The Ireland v UAE game was so dramatic that it became a trending topic in India, Australia, Pakistan USA and the United Kingdom.
Cricket, though growing at a rapid pace, may still be labelled by some as a 'minority' sport in Ireland.
This shows that it has huge appeal across the world and the Irish players and their heroics were the topic of conversation on a truly global scale during this morning's thrilling win.
