John McEnroe has made a laughable claim about Serena Williams

You cannot be serious

John McEnroe must have taken a knock to head. That can be the only reasonable explanation for him calling out Serena Williams on Jimmy Kimmel last night. The former Wimbledon champion thinks he would be able to beat the most dominant female tennis player of the last decade if they played a serious game. We're not sure if McEnroe is losing his mind or thinks that he could beat the current World Number one but it would be very entertaining to see her hand him his 56-year-old ass on a tennis court. If nothing more for his  sexist comments if the two ever were to face off,

"Serena, she’s got a lot to lose by losing to an old fart like myself." “And I’ve got a lot to lose because if I lose to – God forbid a woman – then I’m not allowed in any men’s locker room for the next 15 years."

He also manages to get a mention of Donald Trump trying to organise a clash of the two tennis greats around 15 years ago into the conversation as well. Weird. As if that was bad enough, McEnroe went on to repeat the claim in a 60 Minutes Australia interview, three years later. Some neck on the lad.
