Lance Armstrong must not have known what he was getting himself into.
It's safe to say the disgraced cyclist didn't gain any new fans from his
tense interview with Ger Gilroy on Thursday's Off the Ball.
Gilroy pulled no punches with his questions, grilling Armstrong over just about everything for a solid 30 minutes, each minute more cringe-inducing, albeit massively captivating than the last.
Armstrong, ducked a question, called Gilroy 'a complete rookie,' asked if he was crazy and even admitted to being a "complete dick" when he had that memorable verbal battle at the Tour of California in 2009. There were several moments of dead air, which is usually a cardinal sin in broadcast, but in this instance, it only added to the overall experience.
The highlight may well have been when he was asked if the seven Tour de France yellow jerseys were still on display in his house, even though he has had the titles revoked. His response of "absolutely" had Twitter absolutely hopping.
