Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy cruised to yet another gold medal as they claimed a world championship title in Racice, this afternoon.
The Cork duo claimed another lightweight double sculls world title after blitzing the field at the World Rowing Championships in the Czech Republic.
O'Donovan and McCarthy were never in any danger of not finishing atop the podium as they rode hard and consistently throughout to claim gold for Ireland. They hit the front early and never looked back, winning with clear water behind them as their challengers were left to scramble for silver and bronze.

After their heroics at the Tokyo Olympics, the Skibbereen pair have once again made the whole country proud.

Just ahead of that final, Aoife Casey and Margaret Cremen had a superb race to claim bronze in the women's lightweight double sculls
"If I was a Brit, I'd be very worried at how well they're doing," declared Olympian Tim Harnedy on RTE. "It's a case of 'The Irish are coming'."
With less than two years to go to the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Irish certainly are coming.
