
Phil Healy is the fastest Irish woman ever over 200m.
23-year-old Phil set a new Irish national record over 200m this evening at Cork City Sports 2018.
Healy came in third place in the race in a time of 22:99, making her the first Irish woman to run a sub-23 second 200m. personal best over that distance. She defeated the previous record by the thinnest of margins - 0.03 seconds.
Canadian Crystal Emmanuel came in first in a time of 22:75 while Joanna Atkins of USA took second with 22:99.

As if that wasn't impressive enough, Healy also placed in the 100m.
She ran a time of 11:30 to take second place. Unsurprisingly, the 200m victor Emmanuel came in first with a season's best of 11:25. Healy managed to finish just ahead of Atkins, who came third with a season's best of 11:37.
