Looking at the list of names involved in the World Seniors Snooker Championship is a little distressing. Even if the age limit now has been moved back to a very generous 40, seeing the likes of Peter Ebdon and Ken Doherty compete in a 'Seniors' event is just plain wrong as it makes us feel old.
Anyway, the good news from an Irish point of view is that Ken Doherty is through to today's quarter-finals, where he will play Wales' Darren Morgan.
The Dubliner saw off the challenge of Jimmy White last night, winning 2-0 but not before the Whirlwind produced a moment of typical genius.
