Cork airport was the place to be on Sunday night as the O'Donovan brothers finally arrived back following their Rio success.
The brothers touched down on Irish soil just before 9.30pm, after propelling themselves to stardom with their outstanding performances and memorable interviews at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Skibbereen sons Paul and Gary won the silver medal in the men’s lightweight double sculls at the games while Paul claimed gold in the Men's Single Lightweight Sculls at the World Rowing Championships in Rotterdam on Saturday.

The brothers' homecoming parade in Skibbereen on Monday is expected to draw thousands of attendees, but before they made their way back to their hometown, they received a hero's welcome from a group of supporters upon arriving at the airport.
A crowd had gathered to welcome them off the plane, but this was merely a warm-up for the small army that were waiting to greet them inside the airport.
