Kevin Pietersen may be unwanted by the English cricket team but he is doing all right for himself. The swagering batseman may have fallen for six meagre runs in his Melbourne Stars innings but his fielding was certainly up to scratch. In Melbourne Renegades innings, up first, Pietersen laid out the exact thing he wanted the dangerous Chris Gayle to do. On the Player Mic, he commented:

"I will be very happy if that bloke down there knocks one up in the air here. We've all seen him start slowly but he can explode."

Gayle went with the kitchen sink but only succeeded in looping the ball right to the clairvoyant Pietersen.
