Think of France and how fun that was, we also did pretty well too. Euro 2020 won't be ready for Ireland.
Nobody really knows how Euro 2020 is really going to work, it's all over the place. Literally. There's no host country, it's a competition for everyone.
Dublin is one of the hosts, Wembley will be hosting the final and semi-final. Before today, it was already known that the Aviva Stadium would be hosting three group games as well as one last 16 game.
But, because UEFA work in mysterious ways, they did Euro 2020 city pairings randomly and Dublin was paired with Bilbao for group E.

This means that Ireland will have two home games as well as an away trip to Bilbao during Euro 2020 where they'd play Spain if both teams were to qualify.
With Spain being a popular holiday destination for Irish families it seems like the perfect excuse to fit in an Irish international match if things go well.
Next up for Ireland is the Nations League next Autumn with the draw for Euro 2020 qualifiers taking place next December in Dublin to see who Martin O'Neill's men will take on in an effort to qualify for their third successive European Championships.Explore more on these topics:
