"Unfortunately, he has been carrying a wee bit of an injury over from the All-Ireland and he won’t be able to make it so it’s disappointing," Ireland manager Joe Kernan said.But we should still feel plenty of Dublin and Mayo players according to the coach:
"There are 18 players that I asked from (Dublin and Mayo) there’s some of them waiting to come back with work commitments, there’s three or four with injury problems and there is one or two that can’t commit because of work. "I’d be hoping at least four from each," Kernan concluded.One man that looks likely to travel is Mayo's Aidan O'Shea, he was down in the GAA National Games Development Centre on Friday night where the International Rules team are training.

O'Shea previously lined out for the squad in 2015 as Ireland won 56-52.
Kerry's Paul Geaney has also revealed that he plans to make the squad, the forward told SportsJOE on the GAA Hour that he has been training with the team in hopes of making the final panel.Explore more on these topics:
