In the weeks building up to the fight,
Jones' mother passed away.
When asked if he was thinking of her during a post fight press conference, the newly crowned light heavyweight champion didn't say much but what he did say was lovely.
"I'm glad that she got to watch the fight tonight, front row. She had the best seat in the house and I know she'd be extremely proud right now so I'm happy."
