There was one moment.
That was all Joey Carbery needed as a gap opened in the Fiji defence.
Into space so he went and Fiji were left chasing shadows and a pinpoint pass to Darren Sweetnam gave the Munster winger his first international try.
It may have been Sweetnam's try but it was really all about Carbery.
There is no doubting his talent, the 22-year-old has shown an abundance of brilliance as well as the damn right ugly in the Ireland shirt but there are high hopes for the Leinster player.
Anyone watching the first half against Fiji could see the talent possessed by Carbery and certainly, viewers at home and at the stadium took notice.

And even the GAA world took notice.

The only downside was Carbery missed his first two conversions but of the three tries scored perhaps the conversion he did make was the most difficult to make.
To add to Sweetnam's try both Dave Kearney and Jack Conan scores tries as Ireland went in leading 17-10.
